Flower Care Guide
Helping your blooms stay beautiful, longer.
Every arrangement from Wonder by Alice is crafted with care and love. With just a little attention at home, your flowers can continue to bloom and brighten your space for days to come. Follow the simple steps below to get the most out of your bouquet or flower box.
🌸 Bouquet Care
Step 1 — Trim the Stems
As soon as you get home, use a clean pair of scissors or floral shears to cut about 2–3 cm off the bottom of each stem at a 45° angle. This increases the surface area for water absorption and helps your flowers drink more efficiently.
Step 2 — Choose the Right Vase
Select a clean vase and fill it with fresh, cool water. Remove any leaves that would sit below the waterline — submerged foliage can cause bacteria to grow and shorten the life of your blooms.
Step 3 — Find the Perfect Spot
Place your bouquet in a cool area away from direct sunlight, heating vents, and ripening fruit. Flowers thrive in cooler, stable environments — avoid windowsills that receive harsh afternoon sun.
Step 4 — Change the Water Regularly
Replace the water every 1–2 days and give the stems a fresh trim each time. This keeps bacteria at bay and ensures your flowers stay hydrated. If a flower packet conditioner was included, add it to the water as directed.
🎁 Flower Box Care
Misting to Keep Blooms Fresh
Flower boxes are designed to be displayed without water. Lightly mist the blooms with a spray bottle once or twice a day to keep them hydrated and looking their best.
Avoid Direct Sunlight & Heat
Keep your flower box in a cool, shaded spot. Direct sunlight and warm temperatures will cause the flowers to wilt more quickly. A cool room or air-conditioned space is ideal.
Handle with Care
The flowers in your box are arranged to sit snugly together. Avoid pressing or squeezing the blooms — if a flower shifts, gently guide it back into place with your fingertips.
💡 General Tips
✦ Keep flowers away from ripening fruit — ethylene gas speeds up wilting.
✦ Cooler rooms extend the life of your flowers significantly.
✦ Remove wilted blooms promptly so they don't affect the others.
✦ Roses and peonies love a deep drink — fill the vase generously.
✦ Tulips continue to grow after cutting, so leave extra room in the vase.
