Winter is a florist’s secret. The blooms that love the cold — layered ranunculus, inky anemones, scented jonquils — are some of the most beautiful of the whole year, and they’re at their peak right now. This bouquet is how we show them off.

What’s in season

• Winter blooms at their peak — ranunculus, anemones, hellebores, tulips, jonquils, early blossom and cool-season foliage. The mix shifts week to week as the season moves.
• Cool-weather colours. Think soft whites and blush, moody plums and blues, with pops of jonquil yellow — the palette winter does best.
